What to

Build, When

Free Live Workshop · Wednesday, October 28

Kelly Diels, founder of High Consent Marketing
The antidote for when you're starting from zero every month, and constantly needing to invent and sell new offers from scratch just to make this month's money.

Cue relentless overworking, underearning and way too much worry.

NO MORE.

Instead of staring at the 877 things on your to-do list wondering which one needs doing today and which one will actually work…

…in this free two-hour live workshop I'll show you what you need to be doing each week and what to build next, so that you know exactly what to work on every Monday morning, and the things you've already built start paying you, again and again.

You'll leave with a custom build list specific to your business: the price your business actually needs, the one offer that should pay your bills and the free thing that leads people to it.

You'll also leave with a week-by-week list for the next 6 to 18 months of what you should be developing. No busy work or wondering (and far less flailing).

Someone To Tell Me What To Do (And In What Order)

A couple of years ago I bought a $22 thing from a woman I'd never heard of. The same afternoon I bought her $222 thing. By the end of that week I'd paid $12,000 to join her mastermind.

She didn't weave a spell or manipulate me, and I'm so glad I bought every single thing, because I got even more than I expected. The reason I moved so quickly, and kept returning to buy thing after thing from her, was that she did what most entrepreneurs don't. She had what I call escalators: every offer did what it promised, and when I finished one, the next step up was right there waiting. And so she had recurring income, and didn't have to reinvent the wheel every month just to pay the rent.

That's what most expert businesses are missing: a clear order to build things in, and a next step between each thing you sell. When you run a business by yourself, there are dozens of things you could build next (a new course, a lead magnet, a podcast, a better sales page), and without an order it's hard to know which one will bring in money and which one can wait.

In this free two-hour workshop, I'll walk you through the order I use for my own business and for every client I work with.

Entrepreneur Overwhelm Is Real
(and it has a cause)

You have real expertise and clients who love you, and none of the things you've made lead to each other. Entrepreneur overwhelm is real, and in the businesses I see it almost always has the same cause: too many things to build and no order to build them in. So you build a little of everything, none of it connects, and every time you want money you start from zero. Here's where most people are when they come to me, and where you'll be when you leave on October 28.

Right now: you have four or five half-built offers and no idea which one to finish.
After the workshop: you know which offer pays your bills, and you finish that one first.

Right now: you're working all the time and still underearning.
After the workshop: you know your real rate, from the math, and what to charge next.

Right now: you've built a course, a freebie and a list, and hardly anyone walks from one to the next.
After the workshop: you can see the path from your free thing to your main offer, and the emails that connect them.

Right now: you need money this month, and you also want a business that's easier next quarter.
After the workshop: you know what gets you to the money this month, and what to build so next quarter is easier.

Right now: every expert, podcast and program tells you something different, so you do nothing, or everything.
After the workshop: you have your next build (one thing) and the order for everything after it.

You'll leave with less to do, not more, and you'll know which part comes first.

What You'll Learn

  • Your price, first. The arithmetic for a price that pays you, based on the income you need and how many clients you can serve well, because almost all underearning starts here.
  • What to build next. The offer that pays your bills, and what it needs (a sales page, a checkout link, a welcome sequence) to sell without custom proposals.
  • The free thing that leads to it. One small quick win, and the 3–5 emails that walk people to your main offer.
  • How to fill in the middle. The smaller offers that help people trust you faster, and where each one fits.
  • How to plug the leaks. The reminder for people who start checking out and don't finish, the offer after someone buys, and the next step for people who aren't ready yet.
  • When to focus on visibility. Why it comes last in the build order, and why it then becomes most of your marketing time.

Before You Come

Take the What to Build, When assessment. It takes about ten minutes, scores the parts of your business that bring in money, and gives you a checklist of what to build, in order. Bring your results and you can map your own business while I teach.

Hot Seats

The second hour is hot seats. I'll take real businesses from the room and show you where each one should start: the one with lots of offers that don't lead to each other, the one whose sales page reads like her training manual, the one who needs money this month, the one who'd rather undercharge than feel pushy, and the one who built it all and is still waiting for people to come. You'll probably see your own business in at least one of them.

What Happens at the End

At the end of the workshop I'll tell you about 1 to 10KD, my High Consent Marketing Program, where we build all of this together over a year, one piece at a time. I'm telling you now so you know what you're walking into. You're entirely free to take the teaching and go.

Meet Your Teacher

I'm Kelly Diels [She/Her]

I'm a trained political theorist turned business builder, and I've spent the last 17 years helping deep subject matter experts turn their wisdom into wealth. (My clients will tell you I'm a professional encourager.)

I coined the term "Female Lifestyle Empowerment Brand" (now cited in academic research and a Giller Prize-shortlisted novel), ghost-wrote books, worked with NY Times best-selling authors and international organizations, and coached 880+ entrepreneurs in the last 3 years, alone.

I'm the founder of High Consent Marketing, the method I teach inside 1 to 10KD: how to sell often without fake scarcity, faux authority or pressure, so the way you market matches the work you do in the world. I also created Copywriting for Culture Makers and have trained and certified copywriters in my approach.

I've written for Jezebel, Salon, and Alternet and been interviewed for Forbes (about being an "XL boss"!).

What to Build, When is the order I use in my own business and with every client I work with: price first, then the offer that pays your bills, then the free thing that leads to it, then everything else. On October 28 I'll teach it to you live, for free, and show you where your business fits in it.
